Write What You Know And Like

The Knowledge Sponge

Every blog should have a purpose, a reason for existing, something that sets it aside from everyone else. If you’re the same as every other blog, nobody’s going to remember you.

How do you decide what your blog should be about? The best way is to find a topic that you know and like.

Write What You Know

If you’re experienced in a topic, people will see that you know what you’re talking about. I blog about blogging because I’ve set up a lot of blogs. I have several on the go at the moment. I know blogging!

Write What You Like

It’s all very well knowing your topic, but is it something you actually enjoy? Would you blog about your job if you hated your job? Possibly – but if you spend all day getting annoyed with your job, then come home and write about it, this isn’t the best way to switch off.

Then again, ranting can be a great way to let off steam. So, let’s say you can hate your topic if that works for you. Basically, you need to find a topic you’re passionate about.

Discussion

What’s your blog about? How did you choose your topic?
