Most Blog Subscribers Want a Full Text Feed – Here’s How to Give Them One

Later this week, I’ll be sharing 8 things you need to know about your blog feed. Until then, here’s a quick tip to get you started.

A full-text feed means that the entire contents of your blog posts will be displayed in your feed. Not having a full-text feed defeats the purpose of subscribing.

If a reader wants to subscribe to your site, don’t screw them with a partial feed. Show the entire contents of your post in the feed. For those of you using WordPress, here’s how to do just that.

1. Go to the WordPress Dashboard.

2. Click on Settings – Reading.

3. Look for the option: “For each article in a feed, show…”. Change it to “Full text”.

4. Optional: Look for the option: “Syndication feeds show the most recent…”. Change the value as desired.

5. Save the changes, and you’re done!
